From The Writer and Director of Last Year’s Controversial

“Masters of Horror: Homecoming” Episode …

MASTERS OF HORROR SEASON TWO

ESCALATES THE

SEXUAL REVOLUTION WITH

JOE DANTE’S “THE SCREWFLY SOLUTION”

Commencing Battle on DVD June 12th

BURBANK , CA – Last year, he tackled the Iraq war in the controversial “Homecoming” from the first season of Masters of Horror. Now, legendary director Joe Dante (The Howling, Gremlins and Small Soldiers) tackles a conflict as old as tim e itself – the eternal rift between man and woman. And this tim e, the stakes are the very survival of the human race! On June 12th, Anchor Bay Entertainment presents Dante’s “The Screwfly Solution” on DVD, from the Emmy®-award winning horror anthology series.

Blending social observation and satirical commentary with the horror mayhem MOH fans have come to expect, “The Screwfly Solution” ratchets the war between the sexes to Code Blood-Red! In addition, the DVD s tim ulates with bonus materials that delve deep into the mysteries behind creating what is undoubtedly one of the series’ most provocative installments – all for the SRP of $14.98. Pre-book is May 2nd.

Adapted by Sam Hamm (who also wrote the teleplay for “Homecoming”) from the award-winning short story by James Tiptree, Jr., “The Screwfly Solution” begins with an unexplained outbreak of isolated homicides – 1,100 women slaughtered in one city alone – and the attacks are multiplying. Around the world, normal male sexual urges have suddenly mutated into violent rage.

Now, a pair of scientists (Jason Priestley, “ Beverly Hills 90210” and Elliott Gould, Ocean’s Eleven) are locked in a desperate race against time to figure out how – and why – the war between the sexes turned murderous. Is a mysterious virus making every red-blooded man a potential lady-killer? Could the extermination of all women lead to the extinction of the human race? Kerry Norton (“Battlestar Galactica”) and William S. Taylor (Willard) co-star in this graphic and provocative shocker.

Bonus features on “The Screwfly Solution DVD include:
