FRANKENSTEIN’S
DAUGHTER”

Scarborough, ME – With all the serious, real-life action taking place on television recently, it’s time to take a brief break and have some classic, cult movie fun. So pop that good old-fashioned drive-in movie popcorn and join cult film icon Joe Bob Briggs as Elite Entertainment premieres its Joe Bob Briggs Presents…….. series with “Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter.” The disc will be available on July 1st at a suggested retail price of $19.95.
“In the cult film world, no critic or fan is more popular than Joe Bob Briggs,” said Vini Bancalari, president, Elite Entertainment. “Reaction to his commentary on the ‘I Spit On Your Grave Millennium Edition’ DVD has been tremendous, and there’s no question cult film buffs everywhere will be waiting to hear what Joe Bob has to say next.”
“Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter” (1966) tells the tale of the Old West’s legendary outlaw, who is on the run from Marshall MacPhee. While hiding out with his slow-witted pal Hank in the castle of Baron Frankenstein’s granddaughter Maria, Jesse watches with shock, amazement and confusion as Maria transforms Hank into a bald zombie, whom she conveniently dubs “Igor.”
The disc features the original theatrical trailer, as well as audio commentary by Joe Bob Briggs, the primary feature of each title in the series.
“Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter” was written by Carl K Hittleman and directed by William Baudine.
Elite Entertainment was founded in 1993. The company is currently one of the leaders in the restoration and distribution of horror, science fiction and cult DVD titles, including “Night of the Living Dead,” “Evil Dead,” “Tower of Evil” and “I Spit On Your Grave.” Recent titles include “Popcorn;” a triple feature on the Masterworks of the German Horror Cinema, including the original silent films “Nosferatu,” “Der Golem” and “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari;” the “Drive-In Discsä” series; and the popular “Millennium Edition” series.
