A PEACEFUL TOWN VIOLENTLY RUNS AMOK IN THE TERRIFYING PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER

“STRANGE BEHAVIOR”

Written by Oscar-Nominated Screenwriter Bill Condon

Available May 6th for $19.95

A quiet, peaceful town is about to experience its worst nightmare as Elite Entertainment presents the psychological thriller “Strange Behavior,” the first-ever screenplay written by the Oscar-nominated screenwriter of “Chicago,” Bill Condon.  “Strange Behavior” will be available on May 6th at a suggested retail price of $19.95.

The setting is Galesburg, Illinois, one of those towns where everything is always peaceful and nothing ever happens.  But that’s all about to change as a brutal serial killer begins terrorizing and mutilating the teenagers of Galesburg.  As fear reaches a pinnacle, law enforcement officer John Brady (Michael Murphy) narrows his search down to the psychology department at the high school, where a mysterious research program on behavioral control is taking place.

Determined to uncover the truth, Brady’s search becomes personal as he discovers his own son has unwittingly become involved in the experiments.  Brady must race against the clock to save his son, and reveal the true meaning behind the town’s strange behavior.

“Strange Behavior” was written by Bill Condon and Michael Laughlin, produced by Anthony I. Ginnane and John Barrett and directed by Michael Laughlin.  The DVD has a running time of 87 minutes, and is rated R.

In this dark and dangerous Film Noir-meets-German Expressionism directorial debut from veteran visual effects man Les Bernstien, paunchy ex-con Joe Butcher (John Voldstad of The Newhart Show) heads South of the Border, tumbling head first into the boiling vat of corruption that supports Tijuana’s thriving snuff film industry.  Through a booze-induced haze, Butcher encounters a Mexican spitfire, a grizzled drunk, a villainous dwarf and an obese sexpot, as he frantically retraces his brother’s final steps through seed and grime, to unravel his mysterious death. Lavishly shot in black and white with great visual stylization, Night Train is “…the most boldly evoked vision imaginable of Tijuana as hell-on-earth…unique and compelling…” (Los Angeles Times); Night Train is a must-see for fans of gritty motion pictures like Murder is My Beat, Kiss Me Deadly and Blood Feast. Lauded at festivals around the world (including Best Director and Best Cinematography awards at the 20th Oporto International Film Festival in Portugal), Night Train has continued the circuit pulling in rave reviews and invitations for premieres in Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Sweden, Korea, Canada, Greece, Mexico and even Los Angeles, California
