Based on a novel by
Richard Henrick (Crimson Tide), “Counterstrike” tells the story of a world
summit being held between the United States and China aboard the luxury liner Queen
Elizabeth 2. After the vessel is hijacked in an attempt to steal codes for
China’s nuclear arsenal, two brothers, one a risk taking ATF Agent (Rob Estes)
and the other a by-the-book Secret Service Agent (Joe Lando), must set aside
their differences their differences to save the ship and prevent an
international crisis that could lead to Armageddon.
“Counterstrike”
is essentially a “popcorn television thriller” along the lines of some of
the other thrillers TBS has aired such as the “First Shot” trilogy. As long
as you are not expecting anything more than that, “Counterstrike” will make
for a good two hours of action and thrills.
“Counterstrike”
will debut on TBS Superstation on Tuesday, March 2, 2003, at 8pm (ET/MT), 7pm
(CT/PT) with encores as follows:
Friday,
March 7, 2003, at 8pm (ET), 5pm (PT)
Saturday,
