I was kind of disappointed with Desperate Housewives: the Complete Third Season, The Dirty Laundry Edition DVD set not because the quality of the episodes were bad and certainly not because of the quality of the product itself, but compared to the previous sets, this one seemed pretty bland on the extra value materials. The only interesting featurette is a look at the Spanish market interpretation (6:07), which I thought should have been included within the DVD set as a bonus like how about the pilot version to compare with the America Desperate Housewives series premiere? There’s a behind the scenes look at the third season finale episode (7:33), Series Creator Marc Cherry’s favorite scenes (7:46), eight deleted scenes (6:09) and bloopers and outtakes (2:33).
The DVD set presents all 22 season one episodes in a (1.78:1) widescreen aspect ratio that is enhanced for 16 by 9 televisions. In addition the DVD set features English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and a Spanish Language Dolby Surround Soundtrack coupled with English Subtitles for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired as well as French and Spanish Language Subtitles encoded as options. There’s a reel of previews for upcoming Buena Vista releases (11:33) included in the set too.
