For muddled reasons, a Gereco Corporation has been conducting elicit experiments involving the genetics of crocodiles and have accidentally created a monster that looks like a holdover from the dinosaurs. “Dinocroc” premiered on the SCI FI Channel and in a nutshell, the film is a straight up popcorn monster picture complete with some bad acting and slightly above average special effects and gore. The film definitely one to watch with at least one other person because group viewing with like-minded people who are in the mood to watch something they know is basically a B-movie makes it more fun. There is one scene that had everyone in the room clapping and laughing when a character met the jaws of the dinocroc. To paraphrase the reaction it was said that if this person gets it, my respect for this movie will go up immensely and lots of people do get it before the film ends. In fact even when there are predictable moments in the film (which is frequent) where someone meets their dinocroc fate viewers should clap and root for the monster since it is truly the star of the film. I wish I could be more specific, but it would spoil to fun for those who have never saw it.

Presented in a (1.78:1) aspect ratio enhanced for 16 by 9 televisions, “Dinocroc” benefits from simply being the most recent of the Roger Corman produced films to have been acquired by Buena Vista Home Entertainment and this edition marks the first time “Dinocroc” has ever been released on DVD too. A clear Stereo Soundtrack and English Captions for the hearing impaired are encoded onto the DVD as options. There are no extra value materials included in this DVD release. The menus are all standard interactive still frames that are easy to navigate.
