Treat Williams is a wealthy and widowed
Doctor who moves his family to the quaint town of Everwood, Colorado where he
opens a general practice offering free health care to everyone in town. His kids
resent him because their father has a tendency to talk to what may or may not be
the spirit of his wife and appears to be on some personal mission that makes
them all the subject of town gossip. This show is about how the family copes and
adjusts to a quaint, but perhaps strange little town below the mountains. I have
always liked Treat Williams and am glad to see him in a new dramatic TV series
that seems to have touches of “Picket Fences” and “Northern Exposure.” I
was able to sustain my suspension of disbelief enough to enjoy the program and
think the series as a quirky drama has great potential and definitely recommend
viewers checking this one out when it premieres on Monday, September 16, 2002,
at 9pm (ET) on The WB.
