“Evil Never Dies” is a thriller
about a Detective (Thomas Gibson) whose wife is murdered by a maniacal killer.
Before the killer’s execution, he exclaims that he will return again in one
form or another. After being transferred to patrol duty at a prestigious
college, the Detective discovers that the killer has been reanimated through an
experiment in nano technology and is now out for revenge.
Directed by Uli Edel, who also directed
the upcoming “Caesar” miniseries for TBS Superstation’s sister network
TNT, “Evil Never Dies” is an average TV melodrama that has few surprises
save for one and seems to follow the rehashed paradigm that films like
“Scream” brought to the general public’s awareness nearly a decade ago.
One wishes that with a competent director and a team of writers, something more
interesting would have come out of “Evil Never Dies,” but average is as good
as it gets with this TBS Original Movie. “Evil Never Dies” will premiere on
Sunday, June 1, 2003, at 8pm (ET/MT)/ 7pm (CT/PT) with encores as follows:

June 1, 2003, at 12am (ET)/ 9pm (PT)
