Cartoon
Network’s popular Adult Swim block of animated programming continues with the
series Frisky Dingo from the creators of the ever-popular Sealab 2021.
Killface and Awesome X may be a super villain and a superhero respectively, but
the two have more problems in common than they know and together, both might
really destroy the world or really, really, really accidentally hurt a few
hundred people. Killface intends on destroying the world with a device that can
knock the Earth into the sun, but destroying all life on the planet is just not
self-fulfilling unless the people are warned. So Killface hires a PR team to
help him reach a maximum audience with his deadly message, but then he loses
patience and turns homicidal when he finds he can’t even afford Internet
advertising since all of his money is tied up in his doomsday device.
Meanwhile
Xander Crews, who is in fact the superhero Awesome X, must find a new way to
save his organization from bankruptcy by finding a super villain that he can
market with his own action figure so he can earn millions and save his employees
pensions and healthcare plans.
Irreverent,
gross, and somewhat cute, “Frisky Dingo” is a good addition to Cartoon
Network’s fall slate of returning Adult Swim animated series that include Robot
Chicken, Squidbillies, 12oz Mouse, and the hilarious Harvey Birdman,
Attorney at Law. Visit www.adultswim.com
for more information and tune into Frisky Dingo when it makes its Cartoon
Network Adult Swim series premiere on Sunday, October 15, 2006, at 12:30am
(ET/PT).
