Veteran
thriller filmmaker John Hough presents “Hell’s Gate,” a film somewhat
reminiscent of “Dead Again” where a mental patient (Patsy Kensit) escapes
from her confinement believing her psychiatrist is the reincarnation of “Jack
The Ripper.”
Presented
in a (1.33:1) aspect ration, “Hell’s Gate” is a watchable thriller with a
supernatural touch and has somewhat of soft image quality on DVD. The English
Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Soundtrack is not outstanding, but again serviceable.
An English Dolby Surround Soundtrack and English Captions and English Closed
Captions and Spanish Language Subtitles are encoded on to the DVD as options.
A
(1.33:1) trailer, photo gallery, and Director and Cast Filmographies wrap up the
extra features on this DVD. The menus are standard interactive still frames that
are easy to navigate.
“Hell’s
Gate” is available on DVD-Video now from Artisan Home Entertainment.
