Home improvement gets competitive when
TBS Superstation pits 3 teams of amateur home remodelers against each other in
the new reality series “House Rules,” presented by Lowe’s. I am not a big
fan of reality TV because I find it exploitive, but I have to admit that it can
be addictive depending on the subject matter and it is interesting to see how
the various teams and chosen and the beautiful homes they have a chance to win.
What is kind of disturbing is that these people gave up everything to relocate
and fix up the houses and only one wins. The others have to back to where they
came from, jobless and homeless. Not a good thing to be in 2003 I must note, but
let the viewers be the judge when “House Rules” debuts on TBS on Friday,
October 10, 2003 at 8pm (ET/PT).
