Dooley (James Belushi) and his canine partner Jerry Lee (King) are back in this
straight to video adventure that has the duo investigating an armed robbery,

when Jerry swallows a microchip that the criminals want back.
Third
in the series, “K-9: P.I.” should satisfy the folks who liked the two
previous entries as well as families looking for a film they can watch with the
kids. The DVD features a clear anamorphic (1.85:1) transfer with equally well
rounded English DTS Digital and Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Soundtracks along
with English Captions and Spanish Subtitles encoded as options.
A
ten-minute behind-the-scenes featurette has scenes from all the “K-9” films
intercut with new interviews with James Belushi, the Director, and Dog Trainer.
The film series made Belushi into a dog lover and is one of the series he is
proud to have participated in.
Cast
and Crew Credits with biographical information included on James Belushi is
provided along with a (1.85:1) trailer for “K-9: P.I.” and home video
preview trailers for DreamWorks’ remake of “The Time Machine,” and
Universal’s “Dragonfly,” and “Elvis: His Best Friend Remembers,” which
precede the feature. The menus are standard interactive still frames that are
easy to navigate.
“K-9:
P.I.” will debut on DVD-Video on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 from Universal Home
Entertainment.
