(Jeffrey Hirschfield) strikes a bargain with Prince (Nigel Bennett) for a body
with the right equipment so that he can act out his sexual obsessions upon Kai
(Michael McManus). In return he will help Prince locate the key to the LEXX.
Meanwhile Stan (Brian Downey) and Xev (Xenia Seeberg) take Kai back to the
surface of the Earth with the hope of finding some no place they can call home.
Settling in the heart of suburban America, they are all soon captured by
paranoid militia who think they are a part of a dark government agenda.
All
four season four episodes are presented uncut with scenes never before broadcast
on the Sci-Fi Channel. The picture quality is for the most part outstanding with
only a few scenes displaying any sort of video noise. Otherwise these episodes
are quite vibrant with lush colors to match the saucy and outrageous storylines.
All four episodes are presented in their original (1.33:1) broadcast aspect
ratio. The English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Soundtrack is full with an ambient
quality and a discrete feel. An English Dolby Stereo Soundtrack listening option
is also included.
The
extra features for this volume are somewhat slip and are basically made up of
several galleries. There are three short CGI composite still demonstrations, a
few production design sketches, a gallery of behind-the-scenes production photos
as well as a storyboard to scene comparison (1:54) from the fourth episode on
this disc entitled “Morse.”
The
main menu features a full motion scene from the episode “Morse” with an
animated transition scene from that episode to subsequent standard interactive
still frame menus that are easy to navigate.
“LEXX:
Series 4: Video Set 4: Original Uncut Version” will debut on DVD-Video at
retailers on and offline on
Tuesday, September 23, 2003 from Acorn Media.
