The
adventures of the crew of the LEXX on Earth continue with Xev
participating in a reality show where the alien carrots are implanting
themselves within the contestants and Stan is the dark horse contestant.
Meanwhile Kai discovers evidence of the Divine Order on Earth within the
mythology of Vlad Dracula in Transylvania. Joining him on the quest, Xev, Stan,
Kai, and 790, whose been left aboard the LEXX, cause some unintentional
and intentional havoc wherever they go on the “Little Blue Planet.”
Season
four also sports the best CGI effects of the entire series. Acorn Media presents
these next four episodes in the best quality I have ever seen them and in their
(1.33:1) broadcast aspect ratios. An English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround
Soundtrack is included on this volume too and the mix is a vast improvement over
previous Stereo Soundtracks found on earlier volumes. An English Stereo
Soundtrack is also included and every episode is presented in their original and
uncut form. Sadly there are no captions or subtitles encoded onto this DVD.
Extra
features include several galleries made up of Divine Order Relics, three CGI
composite galleries, production sketches, behind-the-scenes photos, and
storyboard comparisons as well as the usual episode specific trivia challenge.
The
interactive menus feature animated transitions with one menu being an animated
representation of what the alien probes’ see and all are easy to navigate.
“LEXX: Series 4: Video Set 2” will debut on DVD-Video on Tuesday, March 25,
2003 and can be preordered at all online retailers or directly from Acorn Media
