City
slicker Molly Trousdale (Jean Arthur) finds love in cowboy Duke Hutkins (John
Wayne) despite being other personality opposites. A part of a series of standard
movie only new-to-DVD releases of Republic Pictures titles from Artisan Home
Entertainment, “A Lady Takes A Chance” is presented in a black and white
(1.33:1) aspect ratio with an English Monaural 2.0 Soundtrack and optional
English Closed Captions for the hearing impaired.
The
picture quality on this DVD is a bit of a disappointment. There are lots of
scratches and flecks and the image looks a little faded too. The soundtrack is
clear, but nothing outstanding. The title is being offered for a suggest retail
price of $14.98. “A Lady Takes A Chance” debuts on DVD-Video on Tuesday,
January 21, 2003 from Artisan Home Entertainment.
