Randy
Quaid is an American abroad in Ireland who stumbles across a magical world
hidden within our very own filled with Leprechauns, Fairies, and various
enchanted spirits. At the heart of the story is a love story between Quaid and
an Irish woman and a parallel love story between a Leprechaun and a Fairy
Princess.
“The
Magical Legend Of The Leprechauns” is an imperfect, but enchanting miniseries
bought to DVD filled with a mix of live action and CGI wonder. The fantasy
elements look like they were taken from the storybooks of a child and while the
film is perhaps a bit too long, it is none the less a great fantasy adventure
for the whole family.
Artisan
Home Entertainment’s DVD edition presents “The Magical Legend Of The
Leprechauns” in the (1.33:1) aspect ratio of the original television broadcast
coupled with a clear English Dolby Surround Soundtrack and English Closed
Captions encoded on to the DVD as an option. There is a reel of
behind-the-scenes interviews that runs for about 3-minutes, a 9-minute
behind-the-scenes featurette, and a home video trailer. There are also cast and
crew biographies and credits, production notes, and more notes on Leprechaun
lore.
The
interactive menus feature full motion animation and animated transitions. “The
Magical Legend Of The Leprechauns” is available on DVD-Video now from Artisan
Home Entertainment.
