Mike
Nelson, Tom Servo, and Crow T. Robot return for another classic episode of the
cult comedy series that makes even the worst films fun, “Mystery Science
Theater 3000” as seen on both Comedy Central and Sci-Fi. In this installment,
the evil Dr. Clayton Forrester subjects Mike and his robot buddies to “Red
Zone Cuba” The episode features plenty of sly and witty talkbacks to the film,
which is truly bad complete with the worst lead hero ever, who looks like
“Curly” from “The Three Stooges” and some of the worst filmmaking
continuity too. This episode gets funnier as our trio gets really fired up in
the last half of the episode with some real laugh out loud moments.
Presented
in the (1.33:1) aspect ratio of the original television broadcast, “Mystery
Science Theater 3000:Red Zone Cuba” features clear color videotaped sequences
that serve as the bumpers between the frayed black and white clips of the film
that the silhouettes of Mike, Tom, and Crow make their remarks to.
A clear English Stereo Soundtrack is encoded on to the single layered DVD
and the interactive menus feature full motion animation and full motion scene
selections as well as animated transitions between the interactive menus and all
are easy to navigate.
“Mystery
Science Theater 3000: Red Zone Cuba,” featuring Mike Nelson and “Mystery
Science 3000:I Accuse My Parents,” which features Joel Hodgson were released
on DVD-Video on Tuesday, March 26, 2002 from Rhino Home Video and can be
purchased at retailers on and offline now.
