The
three Martians who came to conquer the Earth, but had such a great time that
they now protect the planet make the jump from Cable and Satellite
Television’s “Nickelodeon” to DVD-Video in three volumes sold separately.
Collectively the three discs contain 8 animated episodes, which run
approximately 23-minutes each. The CGI transfer to DVD looks great, but the
quality of the CGI is not as good as some other CGI animated programs I have
seen made for children. Each volume presents the episodes in English Dolby
Surround Sound with English Captions for the hearing impaired and French and
Spanish Language Subtitles encoded on to each DVD as options.
DVD-ROM
enabled users also have access to a “Martian Boot Camp” game demo as well as
a home video trailer for the animated “Mummy: Quest For The Lost Scrolls,”
which will debut day and date on both DVD and VHS.
The
three volumes of “Butt Ugly Martians” will debut on DVD-Video to be sold
separately on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 from Universal Home Entertainment.
