From Actor, Writer, Director, and Executive Producer Seth Green and Writer, Producer, Director and Executive Producer Matthew Senreich comes the original Cartoon Network Adult Swim TV series “Robot Chicken.” Combining classic action figures with modern-day parodies, this edgy animated series will premiere on Cartoon Network on Sunday, February 20, 2005, at 11:30pm (ET/PT) in fifteen-minute episode installments. The series is a succession of vignettes that goof on pop culture with mixed results depending on one’s own personal comedic tastes.

The
Rachel Leigh Cook PSA bit did not really grab me, but the “bloopers” no one
was meant to have seen were cute while the Transformers short was hilarious as
are some of the interstitials like the Scarecrow’s appearance on HBO’s
“OZ.” “Robot Chicken” also reminded me a bit of the SNL animated
sketches that sometimes appear and having seen an episode guide of shows to
follow, this looks like it could have potential to be a cult hit on college
campuses. The show will air Sundays beginning on February 20, 2005 with the
series premiere episode “Junk In The Trunk” and will run on a weekly
schedule there after from 11:30pm at 11:45pm (ET/PT) as a part of Cartoon
Network’s Adult Swim lineup.
