Events come full circle after three seasons when UPN airs the series finale of the science fiction teenage drama “Roswell” with the final episode entitled “Graduation.” Liz (Shiri Appleby) has acquired the ability to see future events before they happen from her long relationship Max (Jason Behr). After foiling a potential crime outside the diner, Liz has a vision of Max and the rest of their human and alien friends deaths at the hands of government assassins who are closing in. Meanwhile Isabel (Katherine Heigl) and her husband Jesse (Adam Rodriguez) are presented with an exciting new life possibility when Jesse is offered a high paying legal position out of state. When news of their impending fate hit the entire gang, a last ditch effort goes into effect to elude their Earthbound hunters, but can they leave everyone they have loved and known behind and will they survive?

Under a penalty 100’s of bottle of Tabasco from the excitable “Roswell” fans, I cannot reveal anything else regarding the plot and especially the ending, except to say that I do concur with the general view that this series finale resolves the distinctively romantic and emotionally moving storylines that have been the trademark of the fan-obsessed series.

I think even casual viewers not familiar with the series, as a whole will find the finale satisfying. One note I would like to make to the loyal “Roswell” fans that have kept their favorite series alive for three years is this; most science fiction programs on non-cable broadcast television with the exception of “Star Trek,” “The X-Files,” and “Babylon 5” never even pass one season. The original “Star Trek” lasted three seasons too and look at what has happened to that series since? I would say “Roswell” is in good company and like all good science fiction, sci-fi, and space operas alike, anything in the future is possible…

The series finale of “Roswell” entitled “Graduation” will air on UPN on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 from 9pm to 10pm (ET/PT) and is well worth watching and even recording so set your VCRs and make sure you UPN on the TV that night and do not miss it!
