“Saved” is a drama that centers upon a young man struggling to find his place in life as he copes with the daily pressures of being a paramedic and consequences for his personal actions that have lead up to his father agreeing to pay his son’s debts as long as he reapplies to medical school. However it is interaction with his co-workers and the people he rescues that make him feel alive. Tom Everett Scott is well cast with a slightly subdued texture to his character that plays down his at times smart-alecky image he has garnered since appearing in Tom Hank’s film “That Thing You Do!” The series has an interesting mix of humor and drama that is refreshing too. TNT will air the series premiere of “Saved” commercial-free on Monday, June 12, 2006, at 10pm (ET/PT) following the second season premiere of “The Closer.” Don’t miss it.
