Turner Network Television’s upcoming original
drama “The Big Time” features an ensemble cast that includes Molly Ringwald,
Christopher Lloyd, Dylan Baker, Christina Hendricks, Michael B. Silver, Shane
Mikael Johnson, Sharif Atkins, John de Lancie, and John Vickery. The film takes
place in Manhattan circa 1948 and there is this new invention called Television
that is attracting the attention of aspiring artists from various disciplines
who see television as an extension of the American Dream. Some are people who
could not break into radio suddenly find themselves as pioneering TV stars while
the new TV executives get caught up in various personal dramas that revolve
around the this burgeoning field of the future.
I have one word to describe this TNT drama and that
word is simply great. The cast works well together with excellent chemistry in a
film that is as humorous as it is engaging. This one of the best TNT Originals I
have seen all year. Top shelf! “The Big Time” will premiere on Sunday,
October 20, 2002, at 8PM (ET/PT). Check your local listings for encore times.
