Peter Falk plays an eccentric
grandfather who is an expert at telling wise tales and captures the hearts of
his grandchildren, but his own son (Tim Daly) resents not having his father
around when he grew up. When the grandson (Josh Hutcherson) helps his
grandfather escape the boredom of the retirement home and accompanies his
grandfather on cross-country odyssey, his father follows to get them back. This
leads to a new understanding of their family relationship for all.
Somewhat
bittersweet, but quite engaging, “Wilder Days” is a heartwarming and
lighthearted family film and another quality TV presentation from TNT and
Johnson & Johnson. “Wilder Days” will make its premiere on TNT on
Sunday, October 19, 2003, at 8pm (ET/PT) with encores as follows:
