A retelling of the
X-Men stories with a twist, their high school years, the stories all center on
the trials of growing up not feeling accepted. The picture is sharp and colorful
and the episodes are well done and thought out.
The episodes featured on this DVD are from the show’s second season and
include “Growing Pains”, Power Surge”, “Bada-Bing Bada-Boom”, and
“Fun And Games.”
The episode feature introductions by Producer Boyd Kirkland and each intro runs
between 30-35 seconds in length. There are galleries for the X-Men with
biographical information and 35 to 40 second film clips previewing prior as well
as forth coming episodes. The same is done for a Brotherhood Of Evil Mutants
gallery.
A game entitled “The X-Men Comic” is included where one decides the outcome
of the story. The game is very easy with the prize being a bio of X-Man “Scott
Summers.” My review for this DVD is a B-. I think the episode choices with the
exception of the episode “Fun And Games” did not capture the X-Men action
enough, but it’s still a fun rental or purchase.
