Lauryn Hill's latest, Lauryn Hill
Unplugged 2.0. is now in stores on DVD-Video and features the songs:
Mr. Intentional
Adam Lives in Theory
Oh Jerusalem
War in the Mind
I Find It Hard to Say (Rebel)
Water
Just Want You Around
I Gotta Find Peace of Mind
Mystery of Iniquity
I Get Out
I Remember
So Much Things to Say
The Conquering Lion
"I want to introduce you to me," said Lauryn Hill onstage during the
taping for MTV Unplugged No. 2.0, which received a "three-and-a-half
star" (out of four) review in USA Today (March 8, 2002). "The raw,
two-hour set of all-new music finds the former Fugees star not only unplugged,
but unadorned," wrote critic Steve Jones. "....it's just Hill and her
guitar, singing about the lessons she has learned since she left the
spotlight....she has chosen to step out with no safety net of dancers of a
band....it gives her an opportunity to truly connect with her audience,
experiment with song forms and vocal styles, and, most important, tell the truth
as she sees it."
Isaac Guzman, in a New York Daily News review titled "Lauryn's return:
stark brilliance," wrote: "Hill's solo acoustic performance was a
daring break for such a high profile artist....the strength and beauty of Hill's
powerful message gave her thorny new approach an earthy, intimate appeal....her
performance Saturday indicated that this vibrant young artist will return to the
pop world with a defiant outlook and, most importantly, a bundle of dramatic,
powerful new songs."
A founding member of the pioneering multi-platinum hip-hop trio the Fugees,
Lauryn Hill found overwhelming success as a solo artist with her debut album The
Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard the week of
its release. Selling more than 12 million copies worldwide, The Miseducation of
Lauryn Hill achieved both popular and critical acclaim, earning her five Grammy
Awards (including Album of the Year and Best New Artist), three American Music
Awards, one Billboard Award, one Soul Train Award, and one MTV Video Music
Award. All the DVD specs are below along with artwork and video clips.

SANTA
MONICA, CA – Two of television’s hottest sci-fi series, Outer Limits and Stargate SG-1,
debut on DVD on September 3 from MGM Home Entertainment.
The first season from the
original Outer Limits, the
groundbreaking 1960s television series, arrives as a four-disc DVD boxed set for
$79.96. Named as “the best
program of its type to ever run on network TV” by Stephen King, episodes from
the original Outer Limits features
distinguished guest stars. Martin
Landau appeared in “The Man Who Was Never Born” and “The Bellero Shield”
and Leanord Nimoy starred in “The Production And Decay Of Strange
Particles.”
Based
on the classic series, episodes from the new
Outer Limits arrive on two DVDs: The
Outer Limits: Sex And Science Fiction collection
and The Outer Limits: Time Travel And Infinity collection for $14.95
each. The new Outer Limits DVDs each include six episodes and “Behind The Outer
Limits” featurettes including cast and crew interviews.
The episodes feature guest appearances by Alyssa Milano, Kevin Nealon,
Natasha Henstridge and Adam Goldberg, among others.
The
Outer Limits television series is a
celebration of the human imagination, where new frontiers in technology, outer
space, and the human experience rouse both our greatest hopes and fears.
As television’s longest science-fiction anthologies, Outer Limits has garnered several awards, including four Cable Ace
Awards, two Gemini Awards and two Saturn Awards.
The
second season of Stargate SG-1,
television’s #1 syndicated first-run drama with a weekly viewership of over
six million, is available as a five-disc DVD boxed set for $69.96.
Bonus features include a profile on Richard Hudolin’s production
design, Michael Shanks’ profile on Dr. Jackson featurette and Christopher
Judge’s profile on Teal “C” featurette.
Stargate SG-1’s first season
boxed set is re-priced to $69.96 and each disc in the first set is available
individually for $14.95.
Featuring
the talents of Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping,
Christopher Judge and Don S. Davis, Stargate
SG-1 follows the adventures of Colonel Jack O’Neill and his otherworldly
team of explorers. Throughout their
journeys, the SG-1 team uses the ancient stargate to travel through space and
expand our understanding of the universe. The
