In the news today, Dark Horizons reported some interesting information regarding "Star Wars: Episode III" and the upcoming Classic Trilogy DVD-Videos that will arrive in a few years. Quoting  from Dark Horizons "George Lucas spoke with "E! News Daily" where he was asked the question of why C-3PO doesn't recognize Anakin as Vader? Lucas' answer was exactly what many fans were guessing but at least now its confirmed: "Well,  his memory system has been erased and so has R2's. So, they don't remember anything from the first trilogy. I'm telling you something from Episode III, but I shouldn't be telling you that, but I think most of the fans already know that." The bigger news of today though was MTV apparently re-iterated rumors that Natalie Portman has signed on to be a part of the new scenes being filmed for "Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi" - she'll shoot scenes during the production of Episode III which will then be reinserted to the DVD release of 'Jedi.'" Thank you Garth for allowing me to pass this information on.

In the news today, the official Star Wars website announced a new feature for those with "The Phantom Menace" DVD and a DVD-ROM drive with internet access. Here is the direct information from the website:

One of the reasons for the continuing appeal of the Star Wars movies is their complexity and depth. Each scene is filled with such detail that repeated viewings are rewarding each time.

Thanks to software from InterActual, the power of DVD and the Internet are combined to provide viewers with a new text-based commentary for the Episode I DVD. If you have a PC DVD-ROM with web access, visit dvd.starwars.com and find out dozens of factoids you may not have known about The Phantom Menace.

The information is divided into three color-coded types: "Lore" information is culled from the ever-expanding Star Wars universe of facts, "Behind the Scenes" provides some insights into the filmmaking process, and "Did you Notice" covers the tiny and fun details you may have missed.

To begin, insert your Episode I DVD in your PC's DVD-ROM drive, launch the InterActual player, and select the starwars.com menu item.

"Mind The Baby"

The living ship Moya has lost her child Talyn. To find him, she must return

to the asteroid field controlled by evil commander Scorpius. Crichton,

Aeryn, and D'Argo rejoin their shipmates aboard Moya with Crais as hostage.

But there is a new danger... Talyn attacks his mother, demanding the return

of the only master the child ship has known...

"Vitas Mortis"

On a cold, menacing planet, D'Argo agrees to help an ancient holy woman,

Nilaam, perform the Luxan ritual of death. During the ritual, Nilaam senses

great strength in D'Argo, and she harnesses it instead to become young and

beautiful. D'Argo is in love. But up above, Moya mysteriously begins to

Distraught over the death of her brother, Chiana escapes to a royal cemetery

planet and joins a twisted gang of young aliens. Crichton and Aeryn try to

intercede but Chiana insists on following the gang's daredevil behavior,

fall, but many jumpers die as they "take the stone."

"Crackers Don't Matter"

A shopping trip on a commerce planet brings a load of crackers and small

blind alien, Traltixx. Traltixx says he can make Moya undetectable, but only

In interesting Sci-Fi news, the "Farscape World" website reported that season four of the Sci-Fi Channel's flagship original series will be the first season to be shot in widescreen.
